The origin of this tea is Japanese. Himalayan Shiiba is made from bushes imported from Japan and planted on the Jun Chiyabari farm in Nepal.
A fine flavour of asparagus is combined with light citrus and a slight floral note. The finish is exceptionally long and clean. The tea has been produced in an old style, which means that the leaves have been allowed to wither for a slightly longer time before production begins. This gives rise to new aromas and flavours that require a slightly higher temperature during infusion to be released. We therefore recommend a temperature of 80-85 degrees for infusion.
